About Dr. Vedant Kabra

• Dr. Vedant Kabra is a highly experienced and respected Surgical Oncologist with a career spanning over two decades and more than 12,000 successful cancer surgeries to his credit.
• He currently holds the position of Principal Director of Surgical Oncology at Fortis Memorial Research Institute, Gurugram, where he leads advanced cancer surgery programs, including robotic, gastrointestinal, gynecological, head & neck, thoracic, and bone & soft tissue cancers.
• Dr. Kabra began his medical education at Banaras Hindu University (BHU), where he completed his MBBS in 1995 and earned a Gold Medal for academic excellence.
• He went on to complete his MS in General Surgery at BHU in 1998 and earned his DNB (General Surgery) in 1999.
• In 2002, he became a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (MRCS Edin), UK.
• His specialized training in Surgical Oncology was acquired at Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai, where he served as Registrar and Fellow from 1999 to 2003.
• He further enhanced his skills as a Clinical Fellow and Associate at the National Cancer Centre, Singapore, from 2005 to 2006.
• Dr. Kabra is known not only for his surgical precision but also for his compassionate patient care and passion for cancer awareness.
• He regularly conducts health talks, awareness campaigns, and self-examination camps, and he leads the Voice of Tobacco Victims (VoTV) initiative across Gurugram and Haryana, advocating for tobacco cessation and early cancer detection.
• He has been invited as faculty at numerous national and international conferences, and his contributions to academic medicine include over a dozen publications and four book chapters on cancer surgery.
• Dr. Kabra also serves as a tutor for the MCh course in Breast Oncoplasty offered by the University of East Anglia, UK.
• He has 12 national and international publications in peer-reviewed oncology journals and 4 book chapters on surgical oncology.
• He is  a speaker and faculty at various international and national cancer surgery conferences.
