About Dr. Sourabh Pahuja

• Dr. Sourabh Pahuja is an accomplished Pulmonologist and Critical Care Specialist with more than 13 years of expertise in pulmonary, sleep, and respiratory intensive care medicine.
• He is trained extensively in interventional pulmonology procedures such as bronchoalveolar lavage (BAL), endobronchial and transbronchial biopsies (EBBx, TBLB), conventional TBNA, and endobronchial ultrasound (EBUS)-guided TBNA and biopsies (linear and radial techniques).
• His skillset extends to rigid bronchoscopy procedures like stent placement, airway debulking, balloon dilatation, cryobiopsies, and the management of tracheal stenosis, as well as diagnostic and therapeutic thoracoscopy.
• Dr. Pahuja completed his MBBS from Government Medical College, Nagpur, followed by an MD in Respiratory Medicine from GSVM Medical College, Kanpur.
• He then pursued his DM in Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, where he received advanced training in state-of-the-art respiratory care and interventional pulmonology.
• At AIIMS, Dr. Pahuja mastered highly advanced respiratory critical care techniques, including Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO), High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), and Neurally Adjusted Ventilatory Assist (NAVA).
• He further enhanced his expertise with international training in advanced COPD management, BTVA (Bronchoscopic Thermal Vapor Ablation), BTPNA (Bronchoscopic Trans-Parenchymal Nodule Access), and RFA (Radiofrequency Ablation) for lung cancer at Guangzhou, China.
• Dr. Pahuja has previously worked at AIIMS, New Delhi; Maulana Azad Medical College, New Delhi; and GSVM Medical College, Kanpur.
• Alongside his clinical practice, he has authored more than 20 publications, book chapters, and scientific presentations in reputed international and national journals.
• His research interests include interventional pulmonology and respiratory critical care.
• Recognized as one of the promising voices in his field, Dr. Pahuja has received multiple awards, including the Global Rising Star Award by the European Bronchiectasis Society (Paris) and the Aarogya Bhushan Award by reThink Organisation, in addition to excelling academically by standing first in his university exit exam during MD.
