About Dr. Sanjay Sarup

• Dr. Sanjay Sarup is a highly accomplished Paediatric Orthopaedic and Spine Surgeon with more than 24 years of specialised experience in treating complex orthopaedic and spinal disorders in children.
• Recognised as one of India’s leading paediatric spine specialists, his areas of interest include congenital hip dislocations, clubfoot deformities, scoliosis and kyphosis correction, limb lengthening, and reconstructive surgery for rare orthopaedic conditions.
• Trained at some of the most respected centres in India, including PGIMER Chandigarh, KEM Hospital, and Nair Hospital in Mumbai, he refined his surgical skills under eminent mentors before pursuing advanced international training in the United Kingdom.
• There, he earned prestigious qualifications including FRCS (Glasgow) and MCh (Orthopaedics) from the University of Dundee, UK.
• In 1998, Dr. Sarup completed a fellowship in Paediatric Orthopaedics and Spine Surgery at the Royal Hospital for Sick Children, Glasgow.
• He holds the distinction of being the first formally trained paediatric orthopaedic surgeon to establish practice in Delhi, where he has been instrumental in shaping the specialty over the past two decades.
• His professional journey in Delhi began in 2001, during which he founded and developed multiple orthopaedic units within the Max Hospital Group (Panchsheel Park, Noida, Patparganj).
• In 2004, Dr. Sarup established the dedicated Paediatric Orthopaedic Unit at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, which became a centre of excellence for treating congenital and acquired orthopaedic conditions in children.
• In 2009, he pioneered the Paediatric Orthopaedic and Spine Division at Medanta Medicity, serving as its head and expanding its reputation nationally.
