About Dr. Tarun Suri

• Dr. Tarun Suri is a highly skilled and accomplished spine surgeon with extensive experience in managing a wide spectrum of spinal disorders.
• Over the years, Dr. Suri has dealt exclusively with spinal pathologies, performing thousands of surgeries ranging from routine disc prolapse procedures to highly complex deformity corrections and revision surgeries.
• His areas of specialization include cervical spine surgeries, lumbar spine decompressions, scoliosis and kyphosis correction, spinal trauma, infections such as tuberculosis of the spine, minimally invasive and endoscopic spine surgeries, spinal tumors, and advanced reconstructive procedures such as kyphoplasty and vertebroplasty.
• He completed his MBBS, MS (Orthopaedic Surgery), and Senior Residency from the prestigious Maulana Azad Medical College (MAMC), New Delhi, one of India’s top medical institutions.
• Following his residency, Dr. Suri pursued fellowship training in Spine Surgery at Park Clinic, Kolkata, a renowned high-volume center for spine surgery.
• During his fellowship, he had the privilege of training under both orthopaedic spine surgeons (Dr. Saumyajit Basu) and neurosurgeons (Dr. Sandip Chatterjee), which provided him with a rare dual perspective and expertise in spine surgery.
• Dr. Suri went on to earn the FNB (Spine Surgery) degree, the only NMC-accredited super-specialty program in spine surgery in India.
• In addition to his clinical expertise, Dr. Suri has been deeply involved in academics and teaching. He served as faculty at Maulana Azad Medical College and Lok Nayak Hospital, New Delhi, one of the largest government hospitals in Delhi, where he trained postgraduate students and residents in orthopaedics and spine surgery.
• He has been a guide, mentor, and examiner for MBBS and MS students and has significantly contributed to the growth of spine surgery as a specialized discipline.
• Dr. Suri is also a regular faculty member and speaker at national and international spine surgery conferences.
• He has presented papers and served as a subject expert at numerous academic forums, earning recognition for his contributions to clinical research and training.
• Dr. Suri is the recipient of the Gold Medal Award in Postgraduate Paper Presentation at the Delhi Orthopaedic Association Conference (2008).
