About Dr. Mridul Chandra Das

• Dr. Mridul Chandra Das is one of the very few formally trained Paediatric Gastroenterologists and Hepatologists in India.
• With specialized expertise in managing complex disorders of the gastrointestinal tract, liver, and pancreas in children from birth to 18 years of age.
• His areas of expertise span across GI bleeding, Wilson’s disease, autoimmune liver disease, biliary atresia, metabolic liver disorders, hepatitis (A, B, C, E), pancreatitis, gallbladder stones, acute and chronic liver failure, paediatric liver biopsy, and paediatric liver transplantation.
• After completing his MBBS from Nilratan Sircar Medical College, Kolkata, in 2008, Dr. Das pursued his MD in Paediatrics at the prestigious PGIMER, Chandigarh, in 2012.
• Dr. Das then underwent advanced training in paediatric gastroenterology, first completing a PDCC fellowship (2014–2015) and later a DM in Paediatric Gastroenterology (2015–2018) at Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences (SGPGIMS), Lucknow.
• His extensive training equipped him with comprehensive skills in paediatric gastroenterology, hepatology, and nutrition, as well as proficiency in diagnostic and therapeutic paediatric endoscopy.
• Dr. Das has previously worked at BLK Super Speciality Hospital, New Delhi, and later served as Assistant Professor in the Division of Paediatric Gastroenterology, Department of Paediatrics at Lady Hardinge Medical College, New Delhi.
• He also worked at Narayana Super Speciality Hospital, Gurgaon, where he managed a wide spectrum of paediatric gastrointestinal and liver disorders, including complex cases requiring endoscopic and transplant interventions.
• An accomplished clinician, academician, and researcher, Dr. Das has presented his research at leading international forums, including the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases (AASLD) Annual Meeting in Washington, DC (2017), where he received an ICMR travel grant.
• He has also contributed to multiple national conferences, including INASL, and authored research papers and presentations in paediatric hepatology.
