About Dr. Manoj Padman

• Dr. Manoj Padman is a highly experienced paediatric orthopaedic surgeon with over 22 years of experience in treating bone, joint, and muscle problems in children and adolescents.
• He focuses exclusively on orthopaedic conditions in young patients, including congenital and developmental disorders, trauma, deformities, and neuromuscular conditions.
• He completed his early medical education at the prestigious Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER) in Pondicherry.
• After obtaining his MS in Orthopaedics and a Diplomate from the National Board (DNB Orthopaedics), Dr. Padman moved to the United Kingdom, where he spent nearly a decade honing his surgical skills at University Hospitals in Leeds and Sheffield.
• While in the UK, Dr. Padman earned Fellowships from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow (FRCS) and also cleared the rigorous FRCS Trauma & Orthopaedics (Intercollegiate Board exam) in 2008.
• He further pursued academic research during this period and completed a Master’s in Research from the University of Leeds, with a focus on how the body responds to different materials used in joint replacements.
• Dr. Padman was appointed National Fellow in Paediatric Orthopaedics at Sheffield Children’s Hospital, one of the UK's top centres for paediatric care.
• There, he gained hands-on experience across a broad range of orthopaedic conditions in children, including hip disorders, limb deformities, and complex trauma.
• He eventually served as a Consultant Paediatric Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgeon before returning to India in 2009.
• Since then, Dr. Padman has worked with several top healthcare institutions in India, including Max Healthcare and Fortis Memorial Research Institute, Gurgaon, where he led the paediatric orthopaedics departments.
• He is a member of the Indian Orthopaedic Association, Delhi Orthopaedic Association, Paediatric Orthopaedic Society of India, American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, and Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Glasgow.
• Dr. Padman is actively involved in academic teaching and training and has published several papers in national and international journals.
• He has been invited to speak at numerous regional, national, and global conferences. He also plays a leadership role in the Paediatric Orthopaedic Foundation, serving as its Secretary.
