About Dr. Bhakar Nandi

• Dr. Bhaskar Nandi is a highly accomplished Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist with over 36 years of experience.
• He is widely regarded as an expert in managing complex liver conditions, advanced endoscopic procedures, and liver transplantation.
• His clinical interests span liver failure, alcoholic liver disease, fatty liver, viral hepatitis (B and C), autoimmune liver diseases, liver cancer, and IBD.
• Dr. Nandi is also adept at advanced endoscopic procedures, including difficult ERCPs.
• He began his medical career after completing his MBBS in 1985, followed by MD (Medicine) from Pune University in 1993 and DM (Gastroenterology) from All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, in 2003.
• He served the Indian Armed Forces with distinction for more than 30 years, rising to the position of Head of Gastroenterology at Army Hospital (R&R), New Delhi.
• During his tenure, he was an integral part of the Liver Transplantation team and was instrumental in leading the Organ Donation Program of the Armed Forces, thereby shaping national standards for organ donation and transplantation.
• An acclaimed academician and examiner, Dr. Nandi has trained numerous doctors in Medicine and Gastroenterology.
• His contributions to healthcare were recognized with the Vishishta Seva Medal (VSM) awarded by the President of India for meritorious medical service in the Armed Forces.
