About Dr. Maitri Chaudhuri

• Dr. Maitri Chaudhuri is an eminent Paediatric Cardiologist with over 27 years of clinical and academic excellence.
• Over her illustrious career, Dr. Maitri has managed a wide spectrum of paediatric cardiac cases, including congenital heart defects, paediatric heart failure, pulmonary arterial hypertension, paediatric arrhythmias, and syncope. 
• She also has special expertise in fetal and neonatal echocardiography, functional echocardiography training, and non-surgical closure of congenital cardiac defects (ASD, VSD, PDA).
• Dr. Maitri completed her MBBS from the Medical College, Kolkata, followed by an MD in Paediatrics from SCB Medical College, Cuttack. 
• Driven by her deep interest in paediatric cardiac care, she pursued a Post-Doctoral Fellowship in Paediatric Cardiology from the National Board of Examinations, after receiving specialised training at the Escorts Heart Institute and Research Centre, New Delhi.
• A recognised academician and mentor, Dr. Maitri has trained postgraduate and DNB students in Cardiology, Neonatology, and Obstetrics, and is a trainer for functional echocardiography in neonatal intensive care units. 
• She regularly conducts workshops and advanced imaging training sessions for clinicians, including the Advanced Fetal and 3D Echocardiography Workshop (Manipal Hospital, 2017).
• Her research and academic interests lie in fetal hemodynamics, pulmonary hypertension in infants, and early detection of congenital cardiac anomalies. 
• She has authored several papers in reputed national and international journals such as Heart Asia, BMJ Case Reports, Indian Journal of Paediatrics, and Paediatric Cardiology, and contributed chapters to leading textbooks in paediatric cardiology.
• Dr. Maitri has been recognised for her excellence with multiple awards, including the Natesha Pandian Award (Indian Academy of Echocardiography, 2013) and the Savitri Shrivastav Award (Paediatric Cardiac Society of India, 2017). 
• Beyond her clinical and teaching commitments, she has led community outreach programs for paediatric cardiac screening in underserved regions of North-East India, underscoring her commitment to equitable cardiac care.
